Capitalism - a Marxian approach...

Capitalism - Capital is created with the purchase of commodities for the purpose of creating  new commodities with an exchange value higher than the sum of the original purchases.The use of labor power itself had become a commodity under capitalism. The exchange value of labor power, as reflected in wages, is less than the value it produces for the capitalist. The difference in values (use value and exchange value), constitutes surplus value, which the capitalists extract and accumulate. In Das Capital, Marx argues that "the core requirement of a capitalist society is that a large portion of the population must not possess sources of self-sustenance that would allow them to be independent, and must instead be compelled, to survive, to sell their labor for a living wage." His view point was that the exploited labor would be the driving force behind a revolution to a socialist-style economy.

Though I am very well aware that I am also a commodity now, and people (the capitalists or the bourgeois') have purchased my thought-power as reciprocated in my annual pay pack, thereby proclaiming me an 'exploited labour', and though am sure one day this working-class will raise a revolt for buying their seat of thoughts by providing them comforts which they can never enjoy, I am not in a position now to stand against this and raise even a minor oppression to the capitalists' stand.

I thought of writing more on this since I got interested in this new branch of science which studies human behaviour as a relationship between ends and scarce means which have alternative uses. But somehow, I lost my mind somewhere...rather I cannot concentrate on this now.. I will come back one day after learning more on this..its origin, its development and how it affects our day-to-day life...
